I need to install a pier Foundation under existing concrete slab.
I was told that I can install some 36 inch piers under my existing concrete slab porch in order to enclose the porch inside my home. Can I do this by pouring the concrete on the side on the slab or do I have to take some of the slab up, install re-bar , etc. Any masonry tips would help.
If I excavate under the slap, should I use a sonatube, and how do I pack it so the bottom of the slab touches the pier?
